# Dispatch — Privacy Policy

Dispatch is built privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect through the
website and the Dispatch app, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little
as possible and never sell your data.

## Who we are

"Dispatch" refers to the makers of the Dispatch field audio app. For any privacy
question or request, contact hello@thevoicerecorder.app.

## What we collect

### This website
- **Waitlist email** — if you submit the waitlist form, we store the email you
  provide (in Cloudflare Workers KV) so we can contact you about early access.
  It is used for nothing else.
- **Request logs** — our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) processes standard
  request data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) to operate and secure the
  service. These logs are short-lived.
- **Consent preference** — your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser.
  We set no analytics or advertising cookies.

### The Dispatch app
- Recordings and transcripts stay on your device by default.
- Optional encrypted sync is manual, scoped, and runs only when you enable it.
- Private share links upload a ZIP you explicitly create; links expire after 24
  hours and the file is then deleted.

## How we use information
- To contact waitlist subscribers about early access.
- To operate, secure, and debug the service.
- To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

## Sharing & processors

We use Cloudflare to host the site, store waitlist signups, and serve share
links, acting as our service provider. We do not share your information with
anyone else except where required by law.

## Retention

Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or the waitlist closes.
Share ZIPs are deleted within 24 hours. Request logs are retained only briefly.

## Your rights

You may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data,
and to withdraw consent. Email hello@thevoicerecorder.app to exercise any of these.

## Security

Share storage is private and access is gated by signed, expiring tokens. App data
stays on your device unless you opt into encrypted sync.

## Children

Dispatch is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
their data.
